🎨 Daily Update from Nada – Art from the Rubble

Because I believe in the power of art at all times and in all places, I recently revisited the shelter where I created my very first artwork on the rubble more than two years ago, during the war. It was in a classroom at one of the UNRWA schools in Deir al-Balah.

Back then, I had nothing but a single pencil — yet I used it to draw a piece that testified to what had happened to childhood, innocence, peace, and humanity.

During my visit, I shared with the children the story of our project, Art from the Rubble. To my surprise, by the end of the day, they began building tall towers in the road using neatly shaped stones. Watching them create with such joy and purpose deeply moved me — a reminder that art always finds its way, even among the ruins.
