The The Hands Up Project has published a range of books that highlight the creativity and voices of young people from Gaza and Palestinian communities abroad.
One of the newest publications is the manga-style book Shattered, which follows the journey of Yara Youssef, a young artist whose work was originally inspired by the vibrant colours and characters of Japanese anime. Through her story, the book explores creativity, resilience, and the power of art.
Our poetry publications include Cairo Writes Gaza’s Heart, a collection written by students from Cairo Space School in Cairo, as well as From Dust We Rise, a powerful poetry book sharing the voices and experiences of young Palestinian writers. We have also published Luna, Dime la Verdad (Moon Tell Me Truth), the Spanish edition of the poetry collection.
In addition, we offer a Special Poetry Collection and a Special Theatre Collection, which bring together selected works from our theatre and poetry projects created by young people participating in Hands Up Project activities.
