An anthology of poems written by young Palestinians

between May and November 2025 as part of an initiative

directed by the Hands Up Project with the support of SOAS,

University of London.The poets were mentored by an

international group of writers: Rim Aoude, Liam Horan,

Zaffar Kunial, Peter Oswald, Alice Oswald and Batool abu

Akleen. Alice Oswald says of the astonishing result:

‘It’s important to say that these poems, which we’ve received

and read sometimes with deep grief, are not just abject cries,

but poems full of healing and energy that speak for limitless

patience and resilience. That’s what makes this book so

important. It’s about the unstoppable spirit of human

recovery.’
