The Hands Up Project has published four collections of five-minute plays written and performed by young people in Palestine for our Remote Theatre competition. Each includes scripts, teacher notes, and links to the original performances — now re-performed by learners worldwide. The most recent of these is ‘Welcome to Gaza’ which will be performed face to face by some of the original creators form Gaza at theatre festivals in July and August 2025 in Devon, Edinburgh and London.
We’ve also released powerful poetry books, including Moon Tell Me Truth, Oh Big Blue and Together on Golden Sands (from Taiwanese students), as well as Stories Reborn — a folk tale collection created in Gaza — and Doing Remote Theatre, a guide for teachers. Each book is a celebration of creativity, resilience, and global connection through storytelling.
