Going right back to 2017, the Hands Up project has a long history of working with theatre with young Palestinians.

‘Welcome to Gaza’ is a compilation play of 19 plays written and originally performed by Palestinian children. It includes QR codes linking to the original performances.

‘Doing remote theatre’ includes plays written especially to be performed through Zoom by well-known authors in the fields of ELT and literature, as well as a guide to doing remote theatre activities as part of a language class.

‘Stories Reborn’ comprises 10 theatre scripts, picture stories, and chants based on traditional Palestinian stories. It was written and piloted by Ashraf Kuhail and his team of ‘Stories Alive’ teachers in Gaza in 2025.
