Samir & Nick
Samir says..
‘In 2016, in our immersive training course in Ramallah, Nick introduced us to the power of drama and storytelling, sparking a transformative experience that brought joy and connection like never before. Following this life-changing course, when we returned to Gaza we initiated online link-up sessions via Zoom with learners from Palestine and across the globe, creating a truly stunning and unforgettable collaborative experience.’
Nick says…
‘Samir and me used to have so much fun in our online link up sessions. Here’s a game (from 2017) we spontaneously invented together called The Translation game. The boys were competing against me – trying to find phrases and sentences in English which I couldn’t say in Arabic (not very hard for them at all since my Arabic was -and still is - pretty rubbish :-) ) and vice versa. In this moment, which you can watch here, I’ve just said to Samir in Arabic ‘Ma Andak shar shayib – You don’t have grey hair’ to which he replied ‘Ma andee Shar – khalas! – I don’t have hair full stop! ’ This made the whole class and Samir and me laugh a lot. That’s how I remember our online sessions together – lots of laughter, lots of spontaneity and real conversations, lots of banter, lots of learning..’
