🎨✨ Art from Rubble – Daily Update

“Darkness and Light” 🌑☀️

Artist Nada Rajab created a magical shadow play activity with children in Gaza, transforming simple materials into houses, butterflies, and stars. ⭐️

The activity was centered around the art of shadow play. Behind the fragile fabric of a tent and within a life deprived of electricity, darkness dominated the scene. Yet I wanted to create something that could illuminate the night for my children. Using a few pieces of cardboard, we crafted small houses, butterflies that symbolize hope, and stars that radiate light.🪄

With electricity unavailable for more than two years due to the destruction of the city’s infrastructure and the ongoing restriction on the entry of fuel needed to light the city and its tents, the flashlight of a mobile phone became the hero of the evening.

Simple yet joyful moments that I stole from the hardships of reality to bring smiles to the faces of my children through the Art From Rubble Project. 🏚️
