From Cairo, With Deep Thanks
By Dr. Sulaiman
Coordinator of Cairo Space, The Hands Up Project – Egypt
As the Coordinator of Cairo Space for The Hands Up Project in Egypt, I have the privilege of witnessing the impact that dedicated educators and humanitarians can have on our students every day. Today, I write not only in my professional capacity, but from a place of deep personal gratitude.
I don’t know where to begin or how to end.
I don’t know whether words of thanks can truly express what I feel inside, but what I know now is that there is still goodness in people, and humanity is still alive.
You are truly a light that illuminates our path and guides us toward what is better, encouraging us to continue achieving success, excellence, and creative thinking. I don’t believe that one month alone is enough to learn from you the meaning of dedication to humanitarian work, effective time management, and making the best use of available resources.
One month with you was enough to strengthen students’ confidence and their ability to speak and write in English through notebooks, daily conversation groups, and developing writing skills by integrating them with psychological and behavioral therapy. You also brought drama and theatre to life in a unique way that enabled students to perform plays around the world, which significantly improved their English-speaking skills.
You concluded a period filled with learning and psychological support through art and music with great generosity and kindness, as well as a joyful and memorable trip to the amusement park and the zoo.
Thank you. You are now part of your second family in Cairo, and we hope to see you again.
