🎨🏚️ Art from Rubble – Daily Update
Today, artist Nada Rajab led an art session with displaced children in Gaza, transforming curtain fabric recovered from the rubble of a destroyed home into a canvas for creativity.
The artwork, “A Free Idea,” reminds us that even in the most difficult circumstances, children continue to create, imagine, and express hope through art.
Today’s session took place inside the tent of a displaced family in the camp, alongside a group of wonderful children in Gaza City. Since the vision of the Art from Rubble Project is rooted in transforming pain into art and rubble into a message, I sought today to turn the unbearable heat inside the tent into something the children could touch through color, perhaps helping them forget the scorching heat for a while, or allowing them to steal a few beautiful moments from the world around them.
