Solidarity through poetry from children around the world

One for my brother’ is our latest collection of handwritten and illustrated poetry by children. It came out of last year’s poetry competition, where we asked children to write a short poem using 14 year old Tala Rasa’s painting (done in Gaza in 2022) as the source of inspiration.

The book has also become an exhibition and it was in the Quaker meeting house in Brighton for nearly a month and will soon go to a primary school in Nottingham, UK. Please let us know if you’d like to arrange for it to visit your school.

This is our most international publication yet, with poems of solidarity by children in nine different countries, and it is pretty cool and inspiring that we’re getting lots of videos in now with children reading their poems from the book. Here are Alicia (Brazil), Leonardo (Mexico), Leen (West Bank, Palestine) and Motsheie (South Africa) reading their work for you.
